TOMCAT Launches (core)18TOMCAT, manufacturer of staging, lighting and support systems to the entertainment and leisure industries, is proud to launch the latest addition to its new product line of truss, (core)18. In addition to (core)12, a 12" X 12" box truss, TOMCAT is now offering (core)18 the 12" X 18" truss in the (core) product line. The focus behind (core) was to develop a stronger, slightly lighter and ultimately less expensive box truss based on market demands. "We are very excited to offer a 12" X 18" box truss in this product line that is 5lbs lighter and 25% stronger than conventional light duty 12" X 18". This adds more value for the customer," stated General Manger, Stefano Rosellini.

TOMCAT has essentially taken conventional 12" X 18" light duty box truss and modified the components to provide a more efficient truss - at a more efficient price. At only 62 lbs per 10' section, with the ability to sustain 1000 lbs total UDL over a 40' span (a 200 lb increase over conventional light duty) and at a price of $500.00 per 10' section, (core)18 offers a considerably stronger option at an unbeatable price. It is light duty stripped to the core.

The 20.5" x 20.5" version of (core) and accessories are being developed to complete the (core) product range and are expected to be available this summer. All TOMCAT truss products meet ANSI E1.2-2006.
