D&M Business & Professional Group (Europe) is exhibiting its Denon Professional and Marantz Professional product ranges, based on SD flash and Blu-ray disc media. Products for broadcast and AV systems integration, and professional and commercial audio applications include the new range of solid state players from Denon Professional and industry leading flashcard recorders from Marantz Professional. Also being shown is a new professional Blu-ray disc player for the display of HD content in DOOH and digital signage applications. The two initial models in Denon Professional’s new solid state player series address specific applications in pro audio and commercial AV. The DN-F300 is an advanced 1U/HE rackmount solution for the playback of MP3 and uncompressed .WAV music libraries stored on SD and SDHC flashcards (up to 32GB), portable USB flash drives, and self powered HDDs. Employing technology and features derived from Denon Professional’s leading broadcast CD players to provide dedicated hardware control for the navigation, management and programmable play of digital music files, with virtually maintenance free operation, the DN-F300 is intended as a modern digital media replacement for carousel CD players in BGM and other playback applications in bars, restaurants, clubs, retail complexes, visitor attractions, houses of worship, and fitness centres. With the equivalent storage of upwards of 10 CDs worth of music on a single SD card, it is similarly priced to a standard five CD professional carousel player. Additionally, the +16% pitch control (controllable from the unit’s IR remote control) and tempo adjust features specify the DN-F300 for use in fitness, aerobic and dance studios. In a further cost and space saving advantage is the unit’s master level control, headphone out with level control and two mic inputs – with discrete level controls and automatic audio ducking for paging and public announcements – which negates the requirement for a separate rack mixer. The comprehensive FL display, large tactile control knobs and illuminated function buttons aid operation in low light environments. Programme play options include Random, Repeat Directory, Repeat All, and A-B Repeat modes, and there is also a Next Track Select function. The DN-F400 is a compact half-rack size SD and SDHC flashcard player with both serial and parallel control capabilities, for critical installation applications requiring continuous playback audio, or repeated programmed or instantly triggered messaging or audio FX. Partnering the DN-F400 is the dedicated RC-F400S serial remote controller. With the playback of MP3 and uncompressed .WAV sound files stored on SD and SDHC flashcards (up to 32GB), the compact, single half-RU space saving form and simple facia with hardwire (dip switch) rear panel setup are configured for specifically for instant or programmed repeat messaging: e.g. fire and safety voice alarm announcements, radio spots, live event and theatre sound FX, and kiosk applications, as well as continuous playback applications like voice on hold and BGM. RS232 serial control enables remote operation and programming of the DN-F400 via PC and external control systems, or the dedicated RC-F400S remote. Parallel control allows triggering and hot start of up to 20 preloaded files by contact closure. The RC-F400S serial remote controller provides an intuitive user interface featuring a large backlit LCD display for file navigation and loading of hot starts. Full navigation and transport control includes features like Power-On and Auto Play, and enables audio and sound FX files to be readily assigned to each of the 20 Hot Start buttons. In combination, the DN-F400 and RC-F400S provides a powerful, cost effective alternative to sound FX payback and management software systems, and outmoded CART, CD and MD players. To meet the increasing demand for HD video content for use in DOOH and digital signage applications, Denon Professional is launching the DN-V500BD professional Blu-ray player. A truly universal HD media player, the DN-V500BD is capable of playing just about every disc you can throw at it, including BD-Rom (BD-Video), DVD-Video, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW with support of VR mode discs, audio CDs, CD-R/RW, MP3, WMA audio, JPEG written CD-R/RWs, and Kodak Picture and Fuji Color CDs. Additionally, a front panel mounted flash memory card slot supports content stored on SD, SDHC, miniSD and microSD memory cards. Denon’s best video processing technologies include high quality 10-bit video processing for both HD and SD signal sources, and up-scaling of SD video signals to full 1080p / 24f output using Anchor Bay Technologies VRS processing. There is also support of AVCHD and Div HD formats. On the audio front, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, are processed internally for output via the 7.1 channel outs or transmitted the via the HDMI output. An ethernet port supports BD-Live Profile 2.0 functionality and firmware updates; bonus BD content accessed over the internet can be stored for playback on SD / SDHC memory cards. HDMI v1.3a output supports Deep Color, x.v.Color and High-Bit-Rate audio transmission, and 7.1 analogue outputs with full bass management and separate stereo analogue outputs are included. An RS-232c serial control port enables integration and management within Crestron™ or AMX™ control systems. Navigating the OSD / GUI is simple using the included Glo-key IR remote control, and a remote lock feature is included for installations wishing to lock out the ability to do so. The DN-V500BD also comes with a 3RU rack kit for standard 19” rack mount installation. The full current range of Marantz PMD industry leading solid state recorders is being shown, including handheld, portable and rackmount models, intended for location, ENG and systems integration applications. |
