There are no two ways about it, PLASA is huge, and once you get there, the temptation to wander round aimlessly is very high. However a lot of people including myself tend to leave feeling as if they have seen nothing. So I guess the main part of this guide is going to be about stands to visit in order to see the hottest new equipment to hit the market.

Stands To Visit...

• Stand F60 - Robe Uk - It is safe to say Robe are one of the biggest manufacturers of moving lights in the industry. Their stand always manages to be stunning, but this year it is going to be even more so with the launch of lots of products. The DigitalSpot 5000 DT, a 5000 ANSI Lumen output digital moving head projector. The StageHaze 1500 AT, a 1500watt hazer.

• Stand F54 - Martin Professional - Martin has been distinctly quiet with regards to new products this year, but for pure eye candy value their new laser is definatly worth a look.

• Stand R50 - 5 Star Cases - Not one I would usually reccommend but they are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. They are certainly planning to do so in style with a £2500 prize up for grabs and other prizes.

• Stand H12 - Le Maitre - I can never remember wether this one happens at their stand or else where, but the Le Maitre employees will no doubt be happy to send you in the right direction. At 12 and 3pm every day there will be a big pyro demo, with pyros to music. It always tends to be one of the many highlights of PLASA so I suggest you see it !!
  
  
• Stands J30 + J34 - Avolites - This year sees the launch of a brand new lighting console, the "Pearl Expert", features wise it looks to be a stunning desk so be sure to get one of the first looks.

• Stand AA21 - Cadac Electronics - This years PLASA sees the launch of the "S-Digital Console" with the first look of the desk being at PLASA. No doubt more gorgeous kit for the bank manager to deal with ;-)

• Stand L39 - Allen & Heath - The GL2800M is yet another object of desire exhibiting for the first time at PLASA 06. If Allen & Heath's track record is anything to go off, this looks like a stunning addition to already superb line up of mixing consoles.

• Stand E30 - Compulite - Yet more new gear, This year sees the launch of the largest system in the Dlite family with an integral 48/96 channel manual console. It's gotta be worth checking out, purely 'cause its new !!
  
  
• Stands G43 + F43 - Harman Pro - Owners of such brands as JBL and Soudcraft, the Harman Pro stand is usually stuffed to the brim full of eye candy and new products. Most notibly soundcrafts new mixers which will be on display.
